The purpose of the NISD Instructional Framework is to provide consistent systems for defining the teaching and learning process. The NISD Instructional Framework identifies the structures necessary for high-quality teaching and learning to occur. 

The Framework provides a clear picture of the district's vision of excellence in all classrooms for all students thus supporting all novice and veteran teachers. The Framework describes the evidence-based teaching practices/behaviors and the student behaviors that should occur in all NISD learning environments.
